Loyal supporters of the actress are demanding that a individual who leaped a barrier and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating footage depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was set to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In videos circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had gathered in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had queued for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of last year in the UK, and received 10 Academy Award nods, winning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
