The goalkeeper Was rarely tested required during the opening 45 before forced to intervene from Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding tackle against Qazim Laci demonstrated excellent anticipation. Six out of ten

Declan Rice Crosses from corners and free kicks were dangerous. Was given license to drift on the left yet found himself offside as the pass came in front of goal. Given a deserved break after an hour. Six

The star midfielder Played in an advanced spot on the right and put in the hard yards. Showed moments of class and dragged an attempt over. Substituted late on by Rogers, a fellow player, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Had England’s clearest opportunity of the first half, his shot well saved from the Albanian keeper. As a teammate hanging back, he had to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses into the box varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. Six

The captain The difference-maker scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes at international level. His first a trademark poacher’s finish while the second a classy header following a clever run off his defender. Now 32, his form is unwavering and England are strong contenders in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to make an impact from the left. Was presented with a presentable chance following a pass by Bellingham yet the keeper kept it out. Rashford had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
