The Red Bull team has announced a major reshuffle for the 2026 F1 campaign, promoting French driver Isack Hadjar to its A-team and awarding British teenager Arvid Lindblad his debut Formula 1 seat. The young driver, who is of Swedish and Indian heritage, will be team-mate to Kiwi driver Liam Lawson at the sister squad VCARB. These changes sees Japan's Yuki Tsunoda being without a drive after five seasons. A Star in the Making Arvid Lindblad took part in FP1 for the British and Mexico City Grands Prix in the current season. The youngster was tagged as a potential future star by Red Bull since he was 12 years old. Talking about the team's young driver programme, a senior Red Bull figure previously said that Lindblad "seems extremely gifted", praising his "raw pace". Red Bull has had a plan since last year to ready Lindblad for his potential F1 debut in 2026, featuring runs in Grand Prix practice at Silverstone and Mexico City. Lindblad stated it was a "proud moment", adding: "2026 will be a massive test, and I know there's much to understand, but I'm eager to work closely with the team and step up. I am incredibly excited to get started." He has won two races in F2 so far this season and is P6 in the championship heading into the season finale in Abu Dhabi. A Major Opportunity for Hadjar The French driver enjoys his first podium in F1, achieved at the Zandvoort race in August. The Frenchman's debut season began in difficult fashion when he crashed during the warm-up lap of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. But, since then, he has been one of the stand-out rookies of the year. He included an excellent podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, and he sits in tenth place in the championship. A senior team figure said: "Isack has displayed great maturity and proved to be a fast adapter. Crucially, he has the raw speed that is the number one requirement in this sport. We believe he can thrive next to Max." The promoted driver called it "an awesome move" and said he felt "up for the challenge". The Lawson Decision To partner Lindblad at the junior team, Red Bull have chosen Lawson over Tsunoda. The New Zealander began the season with the senior squad but was demoted after just two races. However, he has settled back in at Racing Bulls with notable results, convincing Red Bull he deserves more time. Tsunoda, meanwhile, loses his place after a difficult season. His best result is a sixth place, and he has accumulated a minor percentage of the team's constructors' championship. These announcements confirm that there remains no spot on the Red Bull programme for Ireland's Alex Dunne, who will remain in F2 next season.
