🔗 Share this article Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions The Gunners' 10-game victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, but can the English top division leaders recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend? "{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked soccer expert Chris Sutton. "Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win." Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against artificial intelligence, readers and a variety of guests. For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter. Murs' latest album, Knees Up, is out on Friday. Soccer and Parenting Life Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer. "{I actually played in a benefit game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want! "I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again. "Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my daughter or son chooses to play instead." The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach. "I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer team," he added. "I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too. "My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our side for several years and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!" Top Division Predictions Weekend, 22 November Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit. In my opinion this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal. This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row. The expert's forecast: 1-2 The singer's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3 AI's outlook: 0-2 Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me. On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again. The Hammers' only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest coach. Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be the Hammers extending their run under their manager, or Bournemouth responding? I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly. The pundit's prediction: 2-0 The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2 The algorithm's prediction: 1-1 Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their last four matches. My son advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen. Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back the away side at Brighton's ground. They have not had great success on the travel this season, and Brighton are always strong at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger. The analyst's forecast: 2-1 The singer's view: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of scores but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1 AI's prediction: 2-1 Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT It is a massive game for Fulham, who have lost five of their last six games. Fulham have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation battle. As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the Premier League campaign so far. Their display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them. The logical choice would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of last month. But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they clearly love to defy my predictions. Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three points. Sutton's forecast: 1-0 The guest's choice: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0 The algorithm's outlook: 2-0 Anfield, 15:00 GMT It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in all competitions, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
