Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a record-breaking innings. Littler won the award in 2024 after his breakthrough year. The three contenders were announced live on a popular morning radio program. This year's winner will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December. The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT. The Football Star Age: 19 Sport: Football A mere three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory. She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games. Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros. Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the finest emerging star on the continent. She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer. Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October. "Being nominated for this award is incredible," said Agyemang. Luke Littler Age: 18 Sport: Darts The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history. He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final. His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown. He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time. At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record. "To receive a nomination for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts." Perrin's Profile Age: 19 Sport: Cricket Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August. Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s. It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition. Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA. "I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin.
