Two Men Arrested Regarding Mobile Device Concealed in House of Commons to Reportedly Play Sex Noises During Prime Minister's Questions

Law enforcement have taken into custody a duo of individuals in connection with a mobile phone found concealed within the House of Commons, which was allegedly intended to play sex noises throughout the weekly parliamentary session.

Finding and Probe

This phone was located near the government benches in the course of a standard security check of the chamber. Authorities suspect it was planned to interrupt the keynote weekly showdown between Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch in September.

An official representative commented, “At 10.25 on that specific date, a mobile phone was discovered during a standard inspection of the House of Commons chamber.”

Detentions and Allegations

Enquiries suggested that the phone was purposely positioned in a spot with the intention of creating interference to proceedings in the house.

  • An individual in his 30s was arrested on Friday 5 September on suspected grounds of trying to deliberately cause a public nuisance.
  • Another man in his sixties was arrested on the following Tuesday on suspicion of the same offence.
  • The two have been bailed to return at a future time.

Security Measures and Consequences

Heightened precautions were introduced in the Commons after the device was discovered. Audio tours and escorted visits were cancelled, and there was reduced access to the main hall.

The upper house followed suit to reduce access to the their debating area “for safety reasons.”

Officials added, “Investigations remain ongoing, and we are updating the parliamentary officials informed with our probe.”

Seriousness of the Event

This incident is being regarded as grave as it represents a major breach of legislative safety. The phone was located while numerous guards based in the parliamentary area were on strike over pay and conditions.

As a result, the public were prohibited from the legislative grounds. The union explained that the work stoppage went ahead due to reduction of annual leave entitlements, stagnant pay, and an wage disparity based on race.
